What’s the FOLX Health and Wellness Summit?

We’re hosting a month-long virtual LGBTQ+ Wellness Summit in September to focus on the holistic care of the queer and trans community. We’ll have a series of curated events, workshops, and panels that focus on a broad range of topics to improve and support the emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of LGBTQ+ people. All events will be hosted virtually and feature thought leaders, experts, and activists from the community. 

What is the difference between the single sessions and the all-access pass?

The single session passes will allow you to attend one event of your choice. The all-access summit pass gives you full access to the full line-up of events and workshops happening throughout the month.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable at this time.

 

When did the summit launch? Can I still get a ticket?

The summit begins on September 7th, 2021 and runs until October 1st, 2021.  Tickets are available for purchase at any time during the month. 

Do you have drop-in classes?

All event tickets will need to be pre-purchased. Registration will close two hours before all events.

Will I receive a confirmation email after purchasing a digital pass?

Yes, once you purchase a single-event ticket or an all-access pass you should have received a confirmation email from support@folxhealth.com. If you didn’t receive it, check your spam or junk folder. Otherwise, if you have additional issues or questions, email us at support@folxhealth.com

I bought a digital pass. What happens next?

If you purchased a single-event ticket, you’ll receive a reminder email on the day of, one hour before the event with the secure link to access the room.

If you purchased an all-access pass, you’ll receive an email at the beginning of each week with all the events, workshops, and classes of the week. You will also receive a reminder email a few hours before the event with the link to join the virtual room. 

Events and workshops will be hosted on Zoom. If you don’t have an account, feel free to create one beforehand with your name and pronouns. 

How do I access the content?

The content will be accessible through the link in your reminder email with all necessary information. If you did not receive any emails, please check your spam.

Do I have to turn my video on?

We’ve disabled participant videos for most of our events to create a safe and comfortable environment. For activity-based classes (yoga, Zumba, breathwork, and meditation), turning on video is encouraged for improved interaction with the instructor. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable in the space, and if that means keeping your video off feel free to do that.

When are the live events and workshops?

Events and workshops will take place at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET unless otherwise noted.

I can no longer attend the event I signed up for. Can I watch it at a later time?

Unfortunately, events will not be available for later viewing.

How long are the events?

Most of our workshops and classes will be between 45 - 60 minutes, while some panels will extend out to 90 minutes. 

Do you recommend watching the videos on a computer or phone?

We recommend watching the event on your laptop or desktop for the best viewing experience, especially for the fitness events where you’ll want to see the instructor on a bigger screen. Mobile phones can be used for talks and panels if you are interested in just listening in.

Do I need any prior experience, expertise, or specific equipment to do any of the sessions?

Please join just as you are. Feel free to bring a journal to take notes or you can use your phone/laptop. For our movement-based sessions, you’ll need some space for a mat or the exercise, water, and any supportive props if needed (yoga mat, blocks, towels, etc.)

What language are the events in?

All events will be in English and will be accompanied by an ASL interpreter.

Are there closed captions for the videos?

Closed captions will not be available for the videos at this time. 

Will you have interpreters for hearing-impaired and deaf individuals?

We will have ASL interpreters for all our virtual events.
