You'll then only pay for visits, medications, and labs as you need them. So it depends entirely on your unique care plan and needs.
No, the FOLX membership price does not include the cost of prescriptions, appointments with clinicians, or lab work. If you have insurance, FOLX can send your medication to the pharmacy of your choice where you can use your insurance to pay. If you do not have insurance or want to pay out of pocket for your medications, you can use GoodRX to compare medication prices and select a pharmacy where you’d like to purchase.
Members receiving medications will have them prescribed based on their unique care plans. For example, some prescriptions, such as for a UTI or STI will be for a short course and will not come with refills. Others, such as for gender affirming hormone therapy will be prescribed three months of medication at a time and your clinician can continue to write you refills as long as you’d like to remain a member.
Members receiving gender affirming hormone therapy can pay FOLX directly for their prescriptions and refills if you use our partner pharmacy to ship your medications directly to you. All other prescriptions will be sent to your local pharmacy or Capsule if you live in an area they serve, and you’ll pay the pharmacy directly for your medications.
FOLX offers our members a negotiated rate to Quest Diagnostics and so sends most of our members to one of their facilities for labs. Members have the option to pay FOLX directly (out of pocket) for their lab fees, which you will then be charged for on your monthly billing date that follows the date your lab order was sent to Quest.
You also have the option to pay using your insurance when you arrive at the lab facility.
