This is one of two DHT blockers which helps block the effects of testosterone in your body. Specifically on hair follicles preventing hair loss.

It does not affect kidney function or potassium so is safer for older persons or persons with kidney problems.
These are the only medications that can protect against genetic hair loss or balding.
Can be used in addition to Spironolactone if already at a high dose and need additional testosterone blocking.
