At FOLX, we strive to make expert LGBTQIA+ health and wellness as accessible and easy as possible. Here are some things you might not know about us.
1. We are a holistic health and wellness provider. 🫶
We provide care for your whole self. We not only have expert LGBTQIA+ clinical care where you can speak to a clinician about anything you might need, but we also provide community support, resources, help navigating insurance, referrals to specialists or in-person care, and much more. We have an entire team dedicated to helping you with whatever you might need, and a whole community of peer support that can help guide you through whatever journey you are on.
2. You can use insurance. 💸
FOLX is in-network with select insurance plans, and we’re adding more all the time. You can use this insurance to help cover the cost of visits, labs, and medications. If you have insurance that is not in-network with FOLX, you may still be able to use it to help offset medication and lab costs. See the full details of how insurance works at FOLX in this article.
3. We provide care in all 50 states. 📍
We have health care services in every state! While some restrictions apply (for testosterone or therapy in select states), FOLX is available to use in all states across the country. Check out which services are available in your state on our service map.
4. We provide mental health care. 🧠
In addition to primary care, gender-affirming care, and sexual and reproductive health care, FOLX also provides mental health care. Our clinicians can provide treatment for anxiety, depression, and sleep issues, all as part of primary care. We also have individual therapy available in select states with more to come.
5. We’re in the community, too. 🌈
Our clinicians, care team, and staff are predominantly in the LGBTQIA+ community (around 80% of us!). We take pride in knowing that many of us who do this work are also in the community. We understand first-hand the struggles of getting competent care that takes our unique identities and needs into account. And our whole team has extensive experience and knowledge working within the community to better care for all of us.
