FOLX memberships are for all the transgender, queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, gender nonconforming, intersex, two-spirit, every-alphabet-letter and questioning people who want a better healthcare experience (we think that’s all of us?!). FOLX makes it easy to get affirming care from clinicians who get you. Clinicians who are part of the community themselves.

For a monthly fee of $39.99 or an annual payment of $299 (a 38% discount!) you can join FOLX and experience health care that celebrates your identity and helps you meet your wellness goals. You’ll only pay for clinical services when you need them, including visits, labs, and meds.

As a FOLX member, you get access to our LGBTQIA+ expert clinicians and so much more.

  • Message our team of nurses, medical assistants, and Member Navigators, who can help you with resources and referrals or any questions you may have.
  • Explore the FOLX Community Platform, where you can find resources and join discussions with fellow community members.

  • Get letters for surgery from a medical provider or name and gender marker changes.

Access to LGBTQIA+-affirming clinicians and services

Are you tired of having to explain your identity to a doctor or correct yet another front desk person when they misgender you? Us too! One of the primary advantages of FOLX membership is the access you'll get to our LGBTQIA+-affirming clinicians.  You can make an appointment with the clinician of your choice within days to discuss your health needs and wellness goals.

As a FOLX member, you can find affirming providers with diverse backgrounds who will offer empathetic and expert care. You’ll pay our cash pay rates for visits or a copay if we’re in-network with your insurance. You also get access to messaging with your clinical team (nurses and medical assistants) between visits, which means your healthcare questions get answered faster.

You can meet with your FOLX clinician about a variety of issues, from sexual health concerns to mental health and trauma. Whether it is allergies bugging you out, stress from hair loss, time to quit smoking once and for all, or just your annual physical-FOLX has you covered.

You will need to have a visit to initiate care with FOLX (e.g. to begin hormone therapy). After your initial visit, you'll come in for visits when needed, which will be determined in consultation with your clinician, but at least once a year to ensure your care is still going well.

Letter writing services

With a FOLX membership, you get access to letter writing services for name and gender marker changes. Our clinicians can also write letters for gender-affirming surgeries or procedures as clinically appropriate. Note: you’ll need to have had a video visit with your clinician to initiate care, but once you’ve done that, you can message to get a letter at any time you need it.

LGBTQ+-affirming resources and referrals

With your FOLX membership, so many other LGBTQIA+affirming resources and referrals are just a few clicks away. Our Member Navigators are here via messaging to connect you to the things you need, with no appointments necessary. Whether you’re seeking specialized in-person health care, gender-affirming surgeries, fertility services, or mental health support, FOLX connects members to a broad range of healthcare professionals with experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community. We also can help you find the nearest LGBTQ center, non-clinical resources like voice coaching, affirming hair stylists, and so much more.

With FOLX, you get more than just regular telehealth benefits. We offer cost savings with partner brands, access to support groups, interactive education, and more.

FOLX Community Platform

FOLX members get access to the FOLX Community Platform (previously known as Innerspace), an amazing place to connect with others in the LGBTQIA+ community and learn more about health and wellness. This inclusive digital space allows folks to engage with fellow community members in forums, share resources, ask questions, attend events, and receive ongoing support from the FOLX team.

FOLX Community Platform offers injection trainings, courses on well-being, and discussion so you can engage in your care and better understand your gender identity. Find what you seek, whether it be education or community, in the FOLX Community Platform.

You do not need to have an appointment when you become a FOLX member if you want to access our Community Platform, use our Member Navigation services, attend support groups, or us other membership benefits.

But you do need to have an appointment if you're starting clinical care - for example if you want to get a prescription for hormone therapy (testosterone or estrogen), or want to get any other prescription. If you want to use FOLX for anxiety or depression treatment, you'll start with a visit. If you want to discuss your health goals, yes, also start with a visit!
